Finding a healthy balance between all we do in life can be challenging, but with the proper tools, you can reduce stress, improve productivity, and feel happier. Here are some tips:

  • Schedule personal time each day

  • Utilize a digital or physical planner

  • Set reminders

  • Create to do lists

  • Set goals and list SMART steps to achieve them

  • If life is overwhelming, remember it is always ok to say no or take a step back from some things

Listening to your body and mind is critical to overall health. Improve this skill by:​

  • Don’t stress over the numbers on the scale or label. Instead, focus on you feel.

  • Don’t restrict foods from your diet

  • Plan ahead in order to ensure you are fueling your body with the nutrients it needs

  • Healthy = Expensive: try frozen alternatives

  • Jumpstart your metabolism with breakfast

OUTLET

Having an outlet is an amazing way to learn more about yourself and reflect deeper into your emotions. Here are some things to consider:

  • Try something new you have never done

  • Really active? Embrace your creative side

  • Really creative? Join a fitness club or local sports league

  • Organize game night with friends

 

OUTLOOK

Perspective will take you far in any situation and will tremendously transform your life as a whole. Tips to improving our outlook:

  • Give yourself the W! Write down all your accomplishments not matter how bog or small they are each day.

  • Speak kindly to yourself and write down words of affirmation

  • Write motivational sayings on post-it notes where you will see them around your house

  • Set a motivational quote as your lock screen

  • Don’t compare yourself to others. Focus on your strengths and weakness and what you need to do achieve your goals.

MOVE/ MEDITATION

Both movement and meditation play important roles in one’s health journey. Here are some tips to implement:

  • Wake up 15 mins earlier than normal to take a walk around the block or do some stretches with breath to wake the body up.

  • Set realistic and specific goals: change “resolutions” to “practices”

  • Reflect on how your body feels. What do you need to feel great
