The South Dakota Helpline center is a great resource that can be used for a wide array of services. By calling 211, a local representative will connect you to or help you find local resources for any issue.
JASON FOUNDATION: A FRIEND ASKS
A Friend Asks is a free app by the suicide prevention group Jason Foundation. It aims to teach its users how to recognize the signs that someone close to them may be thinking about suicide, and how to reach out to them proactively. The app provides users with a list of common warning signs of suicide ideation, do’s and don’ts for such a sensitive situation and easy access to resources such as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

The Helpline Center is South Dakota’s free service for suicide prevention and response. If you or someone you know is having suicidal thoughts please call 1-800-273-8255 anytime, day or night. All South Dakotans have access to the crisis line all day, every day. The service is confidential.


NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL ILLNESS
